cheap and cheerful . beng refurbished and hence cheap price was fine for stop on long journey.

If you have mobility problems, don’t expect help. This old lovely place was almost empty, but clerk would not give us a room on a lower floor (there were no elevators). The staircase was lovely, but I was afraid my arthritic feet would collapse on me., or hubby’s knees would take him out. I read nothing that warned us that this place is not handicapped or older people accessible. The flight plus another quarter flight of stairs were not the only barriers. Then our room was at the end of several twisting hallways. The linens were nice, but the bed had springs that were old and not comfortable. Room was clean, presentable with No bad smells and the air was clear. Starbucks was 4 minutes away. Beautiful place, but needs to let potential guests know that there are physical barriers for older or handicapped people. We should have realized that when driving into parking lot and there was a plastic chair in one of the 2 handicapped spaces!
